Cher shares the gayest video ever made for one of her songs

26/04/2015 By ACOMSDave Leave a Comment

Singer says some friends made this beefcake buffet for song Take it Like a Man as ‘a present’
21 November 2013 | By Greg Hernandez

Cher knows her gay fan base exceptionally well.
On Wednesday (20 November), the ageless star tweeted out some fresh meat for those fans – make that fresh beefcake.
‘Some friends made me a present for Take it Like a Man,’ the icon wrote on Twitter along with a link to a YouTube video.
The video, titled Take it Like a Man 7th Heaven Remix, features an endless array of perfectly buff and handsome dudes wearing very little doing things like washing a car with each other’s bodies and frolicking on a beach.
Take it Like a Man is a song from Cher’s album Closer to the Truth, her first album of new material in more than a decade.
It has already spawned the hit singles Woman’s World and I Hope You Like It and climbed as high as number three on the Billboard sales chart.

Music: Ricky Martin

26/04/2015 By ACOMSDave Leave a Comment

Ricky Martin isn’t Livin La Vida Loca anymore

And he’s recruited Pitbull for his recent track

He’s known for having his top off, sexy Spanish lyrics and making mouths drool all across the world.

But, Ricky Martin is back after nearly a year of new music – and he’s only gone and got Pitbull involved!
The sunglasses-clad rapper – who’s been featured by basically every artist at some stage – and Ricky have brought us Mr Put It Down, a disco-flavored jam track from Martin’s upcoming album.
The best news, it’s in English. Even though both artists speak fluent Spanish – and Ricky is known for recording albums in only Spanish – it means we get to sing-a-long without doing that weird beatboxing thing we normally have to do when Pitbull raps.
We’ve only got the lyric video for you for now, but after having this on repeat all morning we can’t wait for the official video.
Luckily, we do get a glimpse of the Puerto Rican heartthrob near the end, which will last us long enough until the actual video.
Check it out below…

Mr Put It Down is available to download on iTunes now. Ricky’s fourth English-language album and eleventh overall will be released on 24 May.

Career change in the works for Zayn?

26/04/2015 By ACOMSDave Leave a Comment

Repritned from Gay Times

We thought you broke our hearts to become a ‘normal 22-year-old…’

For those of you – which probably means all of you – who were devastated by Zayn’s exit of One Direction, there’s finally hope.

Director Gurinder Chadha, of Bend it Like Beckham fame, has reportedly spoken to The Mirror about the ex-bandmate at The Asian Awards – Zayn’s first solo public appearance.
“We’ve met and spoken. He trained as an actor first then became part of the band. So I think what he’ll be doing is staying true to his heart – and that’s all you can ever do.”
We’re obviously thrilled we’ll still get to see that newly shaved head on the screens but unfortunately we’re going to have to wait a bit, as Chadha hasn’t quite thought of a part for him yet.
So, while you wait, take a look at Zayn’s Oscar-worthy performance in the Best Song Ever video, and remind yourselves why he really was the best one in 1D. Yes, really.

18/04/2015 By ACOMSDave Leave a Comment

By The Gay UK, Apr 17 2015 10:29AM
Dapper Overtones are taking over ITV as they promo their new album Sweet Soul Music.
The supergroup, of which 3 are of the man loving variety, are due to sing on This Morning. In a recent interview with TheGayUK, the boys undertook a How Gay Is interview where we revealed that Lachie, would love to be Belle from Beauty And Beast, as he loves dancing with big hairy men. (Don’t we all)
We also found out that Timmy, the band’s loveable lead singer, doesn’t think Katie Hopkins is a gay icon.
The fivesome recorded River Deep Mountain High with X Factor winner Sam Bailey, talking about the recording Darren Everest from Essex said, “She’s cool man, she’s a really cool girl. Really down to earth, loves a chat… We just sat there for two hours and we’re like, ‘we should probably do some singing now…’ It was really cool to see her and Lachie go in, they had a mic each when they were doing their leads. It was like one big sing off. It was really cool. She was heavily pregnant and we were a bit like, as she was hitting them high notes, ‘I hope she doesn’t pop…'”

For his latest single and video, “I Just Go,” gay singer-songwriter Aiden Lesliewanted to address that feeling when one is not living the life one is meant to be pursuing, one of the “most vulnerable songs” he’s every written.
“It’s a metaphor in many ways. The element of the relationship in ‘I Just Go’ is definitely one part of the story. But, the real truth of it all is my doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result,” Leslie explains. “It’s about struggling with unhealthy people and behaviors…and not living a life that is truly available to me. The relationship illustrates the struggle on how the chorus lyric says: ‘I should care, I could care / But, I just go / I keep on walking down this road of love.’ It’s all about keeping it moving forward no matter painful it gets.”
The video’s beach scenes were shot in a private location in Breezy Point, NY, and other locations include Buschwick, Brooklyn and lower Manhattan. If you’re curoius who the handsome man who plays Leslie’s lover in the video, it’s his friend, Rafaele Rivera.
“I wrote the song at a very dark time in my life,” Leslie admits. “I was hanging with the wrong crowd. It was very glamorous from the outside — jet-set, but completely out of control — partying a lot and losing myself in the process. So, I found myself asking many questions about life, mortality and, of course, love.”
“I Just Go” will be released on iTunes Tuesday, April 14. Watch the video premiere below:

Releases Video For ‘Crazy Ride’

Reprinted from Huffpost Gay Voices Posted: 04/10/2015 2:18 pm EDT
The singer made waves last year when he decided to boldly and publicly come out for the first time. He did this through his video for “Run,” a track that chronicled the “decay of a relationship between two men, one of whom is unable to break free from the destructive bonds of shame.”
Now, Deutsch is back with a video for the title track of his latest album, “Crazy Ride,” which he describes as “a love letter to the insanity of life.”
“After my mother passed away, I was desperate to provide a message to my family and the world about hope and the cyclical nature of life,” he said in a statement. “I think it’s important to remember we’re all only here for each moment and we must make the most out of the relationships and opportunities we have, as long as we have them.”
Check out the video for “Crazy Ride” above.

Russian State Ballet Company of Siberia – The Nutcracker

02/02/2015 By David McFarlane Leave a Comment

I love music in just about any form – jazz, classical, pop, big band, opera, ballet – they all have their place on my music shelf.
I also love the theatre, and the nuances that you pick up from a live performance, and of course opera which combines music and live acting performances.
But until last month, whilst I loved ballet music, and have watched numerous performances on television, I had not been grabbed by ballet.  But this changed.  Last month I was lucky enough to get a ticket for the Russian State Ballet of Siberia’s performance of ‘The Nurcracker’ in the Belfast Opera House.  This is a young but not inexperienced ballet company, who are presently touring the UK with four ballets; The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, La Fille mal gardee, Coppelia.
As I have said, I was lucky enough to see The Nutcracker on Friday night [23 January 2015].  The theatre was packed, indeed I saw one baby their with its parents – and it didn’t cry once.
The sets and costumes by Christina Fyodorova, are bright and well suited to each of the performers and different points of the story.  And Anatoliy Chepurnoy’s conducting of both the orchestra and his interaction with the audience was wonderful.

The accompanying booklet is lavish, beautifully produced and covers all four ballets, and is well worth the purchase price.
I am now a convert to live ballet, particularly if it keeps with the very high standard that this ballet company has produced.  I for one will be looking forward to their return – the sooner the better.

Plenty of people have been smitten by Steve Grand since that day in July 2013 when his self-made video All-American Boy went viral on YouTube.
The openly gay singer gained such a rabid following that he was able to raise $325,000 via Kickstarter to make his debut album – his way.
Grand announced this week that the album will finally be released on 24 March.
Although his debut hit is about a gay man’s unrequited love for his straight friend, the singer says his music is for everybody – gay or straight.
‘The lines of life are blurring,’ Grand tells Out.com. ‘We are seeing that in music as in sexuality and gender identity…There’s nothing different about my music just because I’m gay. I sing about things that I go through, but they are things that we all go through, regardless of sexual orientation.’
He adds that each song on the album ‘explores some kind of relationship, whether it be a relationship with a romantic partner, a relationship with a friend, a relationship with the past, a relationship with something destructive, a relationship with a community.’
